Did you ever have a hobby that started off as a little side activity, and the next thing you know, it took over your life? That's what happened to us.

Tim is an aerospace propulsion engineer by trade, and I am a college psychology instructor. Our moonlighting as authors began inadvertently after I became a stay-at-home mother, and I started writing as a means of preserving my sanity



The next thing we knew, we had a publisher taking the whole thing seriously, and we landed a contract for our first book, Lipsmackin' Backpackin'. Since then, the house has gone to shambles, we subject our bodies to testing lots of weird outdoor food, and we walk around during the day like zombies from lack of sleep. Tim has somehow managed to maintain his career despite our obsession. In my field of therapy, we would refer to him as a functioning writeaholic.
